The Mupid™ LED Illuminator (G9-2502) transforms your standard Mupid™-One system into a real-time electrophoresis monitoring station. Designed to replace the standard safety lid, this innovative unit allows you to visualize DNA migration as it happens, eliminating the “blind run” and ensuring you never overrun a gel again.
Utilising safe Blue LED technology (470 nm), the illuminator excites common green fluorescent DNA stains (such as Midori Green or SYBR® dyes) with high sensitivity (down to 2 ng DNA). Unlike traditional UV transilluminators, the Blue LED light causes no damage to the DNA sample, making it perfect for downstream cloning applications where sample integrity is critical. The unit features an integrated orange filter, allowing direct viewing without the need for separate safety goggles.
