The FAS-X system is designed to produce stronger signals and lower background images of DNA gels stained with nearly any DNA dye. The FAS-X was developed for use with either red dyes such as ethidium bromide (EtBr) or next generation non-carcinogenic dyes like our Midori Green or SYBR Green-based dyes.
This imaging system includes a powerful CMOS 20 megapixel camera and combined with the superior technology of ultra-bright blue/green LEDs for luminous imaging of nearly any fluorescent dye. These brilliant images are easy to access on a large touch-screen display whilst the transilluminator with a viewing area of 26 cm x 21 cm ensures perfect illumination of all gel sizes, large gels as well as multiple gels.
