Fermacidal D2 is a surface disinfectant spray for Tissue Culture and Lab Surfaces. Fermacidal D2 can be used in the presence of living cells and tissues in culture since it is non-toxic to cells and it is not volatile, unlike alcohol containing disinfectants.

Fermacidal D2 can be used in the presence of living cells and tissues in culture since it is non-toxic to cells and it is not volatile, unlike alcohol containing disinfectants. Furthermore it has been used in human in-vitro fertility clinics for preventing embryo incubators from contamination for many years.
Fermacidal D2 is officially registered at BAG and BauA as a biocide and officially approved for use in all European countries
- Effective against bacteria, fungi, mycobacteria, mycoplasma, viruses (Hepatitis, HIV, Rota, Influenza, Corona, etc.)
- Non-volatile, odourless, biodegradable
- Suitable for use with cell cultures and tissues in culture; it is not harmful to e.g. skin, respiratory tract cultures and all kinds of surfaces (even plastic or plexi glass)
- Non-corrosive, no alcohol or other toxic ingredients
- Officially registered for use in all European countries and approved as a biocide by BAG and BauA, VAH-listed
- Spray until completely wet and let dry (drying time = effective time)
Specification
Specification Any surfaces to be disinfected should be completely wet by spraying, allow to air-dry, there is no need to wipe. The drying time is the reaction time. Spray sterile benches once a day or preferably, before and after using the work area. Spray incubators once every 2 weeks, it is not necessary to empty the incubator before spraying |
